LEMLEM

is the name of my company.
What I do? I love to cook!
And so that is what I do for great organisations and companies. Places where people work together on beautiful things. Like at Knowmads Business School an Fairphone.
Also events like conferences, workshops and party's (no matter the size) I like to facilitate with fresh, vega(n) and organic food. As long I stand behind it's purposes.

LEMLEM is an Eritrean word, meaning 'fresh'.
Beautiful people of Eritrea learnt me a lot in their kitchens and that's how I learned to always use fresh and LOTS OF herbs and spices.
The warm meals are always vegetarian or vegan. Next to that I also have a lot of wheat-free menus.

About events: I can cater for almost any kind of event, as long I like the purpose. When interested; get in touch and we'll see what is possible.

About fresh lunches at company-workfloors: when you like to smell the savory, enticing scents of sautéed onions, baked ginger, fresh spices & herbs at your workspace — and the experience of enjoying the freshly prepared foods together, than don't heatitate to contact me.
When I like what you are doing (quite important for me) then let's have a talk how I could turn your kitchen area in a great, lively space.
To make it the heart of the place.

Fresh meals are really healthy. Not only the ingredients do make it healthy, but also the fact that it's freshly prepared. When our bodies have ample time to smell the foods we will later consume, it allow us to prepare for and deeply enjoy our meals.
It is promoting health, happiness, well-being and good digestion. Fresh lunches. More important than we often think!
In our busy lives, this is a luxury we too rarely experience or appreciate, and cooking fresh, tasteful lunches can make the lunchtime something everyone looks forward to.

So. Let me know when you want to bring in this important change in your company. I'm always open to talk about the ways we can create to make it happen.

Let's not undervalue the importance of good food and a healthy food culture. It's one of the very basic 'ingredients' to let you & your team thrive.

Core of succes

When you wake up, and feel grateful and alive. That's for me the core of being succesful.
Not thankful for what you've achieved, but for being.
Just, and only that. For the fact you're alive.
That. That enormeous fact.
Fromout that, this succes, something beautiful can grow.
What can* become a succes in what many others define as succes.
The succes in the sense 'done something great'.

(*it may, or may not; when you feel already 'succesful' it actually doesn't matter you that much)

Success

What is being successful?

For me:
  • being able to learn, grow, having a good health* and having the freedom** to be myself. Not hindered, but being able to step over all walls.
  • to learn and grow in the sense of being and sharing more and more peace and positive change into (my = the) world.

*Being healthy also implies a mental health: seeing things clear.

**The freedom to be myself and to focus on those things which are most important for me: those things I feel inside, its importance given by no one than myself.

On the other hand I see succes as it's being used those days as an invention of a society which is greedy, which is acquisitive..
For me succes is the art to love the thing you're doing, without caring for what it will give and what it will do in the world.
The art not to be ambitious.
The constant struggle to become more (whatever what) is destructive, it disintegrates, it destroys.
What if we would understand this urge to become, and concern only with being who we are, and then from there move on?
When we are ambitious we aren't peaceful, though we may talk of "peace", "oneness" & "brotherhood".
When our mind is occupied in 'becoming something' we never understand the 'being'.
In 'being' everything lays. In my eyes.

Entrepreneurship

Everything we do should be what's for the best of all of us.
That's nothing 'good', nothing special.
Just common sense.
In everything we do we should be able to put fully ourself, our talents, in.
In some great organisations that's possible.
And it looks like we're making some good steps. Our awareness of rotten roots in our system grows.
In more and more organizations you can get your own role. Your own choosen role. What totally suits you. Where there is all the freedom for your particular input, for your positive change. Not bounded and stricted by too many rules and protocols.

Next to intrepreneurship, being able to use your own drive and talents in a great company or organizaton there is the thing called entrepreneurship.
Being your own boss. So having all the freedom.

In both entrepreneurship and intrepreneurship for me one thing counts:
the freedom to choose your own direction.
That your work really matters.
Your work is your life.

Work for who? Just your client?
No. The all of us.

For the bigger picture.
A more beautiful world.

Business

I don't like to see it narrow. I don't don't want to see it only as a bunch of entrepreneurs with an 'business and entrepreneurial mindset' in our (sick) society.
Let's see it as broad as possible.
We are all born with unlimited possibilities on our planet in an invinite universe.
We can all play a huge role. If we want. If we choose.

And that's for me a very important thing in 'business'.

"It's my business", is a saying.
For me 'business' it's more in that way: it has everything to do with me.
Business I personally relate with a personal role.
A very serious role (and on the other hand playful).
It's being alive, and going for what important is for you.

So a kind of selfishness to the core. Your core in the middle.
But the core has nothing to do with 'self', because that's we're not born for.
A core what's felt as a gift. Yourself. And your 'this- I- deeply- feel -I -have- to -do.' Your 'this-is-why-I'm -here. And that doesn't necessairly have to fit in 'being a business (wo)man', in entrepreneurship. It's easier to be that free, but not a must. For me it's about the state of being independent. In acting indepently in the world, based on knowing your role. Sticking to yourself, so to say. And your noble role only you know deep inside (and I think there are no words to speak that role out. it's what you do with it).
